Climate and clothing
Dry season from june to September , 22-25 degrees. Wet season from October till may, 25-33 degrees, rainfalls are generally limited in time and often during the night or early morning. Casual coton clothes, for bush walks : long sleeves and pants, good walking shoes, hat or cap, neutral colour clothes.

Mikongo bush camp : In La Lopé National Park. The forest experience : walking safaris looking for forest elephants, buffalos, sitatungas, mandrills, chimps and gorillas. A secondary camp is located in Ololo on the Offoué River. Both are run by Ecofac.
Parc de la Lékédi : in Bakoumba, Franceville area. A 14.000 hectares enclosed area containing local and imported species. Reinsertion of chimps experience and mandrills park. A suspended bridge over the trees is an handy way for the canopee observation.
Transport
Tared roads are limited to the main towns area. No public road service between towns. 4WD cars can be rented with driver. Domestic flights link Libreville to the main towns of the country. Rail line operates between Libreville and Franceville, crossing the country from north-west to south-east and stopping in La Lopé.
